Mixmint privacy policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Mixmint is a Shopify app operated by Brian Oak Limited ("we", "us"). It lets merchants create bundle prices (for example "2 for 66"), percentage and amount-off discounts, and product badges. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used and how you can contact us.
Information we collect
When a merchant installs Mixmint, Shopify gives the app access to certain store data. We store only what the app needs to work:
- Store details: your shop's myshopify.com address and the access token Shopify issues so the app can make changes you request.
- Campaign settings you create: campaign names, discount type and amount, bundle quantity and price, the collections you select, badge text and status.
The app reads your collections and products so you can choose which products a campaign applies to. It writes discount settings and badge text to your store (as Shopify discounts and product metafields).
Customer information
Mixmint does not collect, store or process personal information about your customers, such as names, email addresses, addresses or payment details. Bundle prices are calculated by Shopify at checkout using the products in the cart; that calculation runs on Shopify's platform and cart data is not sent to us. The optional cart-merge theme feature runs in the shopper's browser and only talks to your store's own cart; it does not send data to us.
How we use information
- To provide the app: create and update your discounts, bundle prices and badges.
- To check your subscription status for billing, which is handled by Shopify.
- To provide support when you contact us.
We do not sell store data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers below.
Service providers
- Shopify: platform, authentication, billing and checkout.
- Heroku (Salesforce): hosts the app and its database. Data is stored on servers in the United States.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall Mixmint, we delete the store's access sessions. Shopify then sends a data-deletion request, normally 48 hours later, and we delete all campaign data held for that store. Discounts and product metafields created in your store remain in your Shopify admin until you remove them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the information we hold about your store at any time by emailing brianoaklimited@gmail.com. Requests Shopify sends on behalf of your customers are handled automatically; because Mixmint holds no customer personal information, there is normally nothing to return or delete.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and the database is encrypted in transit. Access is limited to the people who operate the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
